I always tell myself things like "I should update more often." I wonder what the chances of that actually ever happening are.

Took a camping trip down to Padre Island National Seashore for a long weekend. Camping out on the sand, watching the sun rise and set over the dunes, it was a great adventure.

Experimenting With Cardboard

This was done as a gift.

I like to experiment with different materials and techniques. I hacked away at a piece of corrugated cardboard with an exacto-knife for a while, and then went in with prismacolor pencils to color it. In some areas, I applied the pencil in a way that the lines from the corrugation would show through without being cut. In a way, it's almost like a 3-dimensional piece because of the depth from the cardboard.
